Quest Employment are working with a company that specialise in cutting-edge security and intelligence solutions, working with Government agencies both in the UK and globally to find an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their dedicated team.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Being the main point of contact for all technical aspects from design, development, and manufacture.
  • Being hands on with the design, build and test of products.
  • Working to deadlines and schedules.
  • Maintaining good version control.
  • Responsible for controlling personal workload and identifying any further resource need.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10 years’ industry experience OR BEng Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate previous product development from concept through to production.
  • Proficiency with microcontroller programming (PIC, ARM, Atmel AVR…)
  • Proficiency in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART. Ethernet advantageous.
  • Proficiency with communications protocols and suitable hardware would be desirable.
  • Experience with IoT & LoRa desirable.
  • Self-driven.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
