Behavioural Mentor - Full Time

  • Job Type: Full-time (35 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with one-hour unpaid lunch break)

Join our team at Clients SEN school, a nurturing and holistic educational environment. We are looking for a dedicated Behavioural Mentor to help our students’ overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide support to teachers and staff by addressing the needs of children who require assistance to access the curriculum fully.
  • Work with a diverse group of pupils, prioritising those facing multiple disadvantages such as special or medical needs, challenging behaviour, or those with a statement of special educational needs.
  • Engage with children on a one-to-one basis or in small to large groups, acting as a listener, facilitator for learning, encourager, motivator, and role model.
  • Collaborate with families and the wider community as part of a broader educational remit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Health & Social Care, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with children or within the care sector.
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively with children and adults.
  • Commitment to supporting the ethos of the school and improving student participation and progress.
