We at Dunbar Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, has a supportive environment and a low staff turnover .You will be providing focused 1:1 support for children with behavioral difficulties, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and those on the autism spectrum.

This rewarding yet challenging role requires adapting support to meet the individual needs of pupils, ensuring they thrive both academically and emotionally. You will play a vital role in making a lasting impact on students' lives, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a UK School setting with special educational needs.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS
  • A genuine passion for supporting the academic and social development of students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
