A mainstream primary school located in West Northampton is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a part time role.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with SEN in both individual and group settings.

  • Implement strategies and interventions outlined in EHCPs.

  • Assist the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

  • Foster positive relationships with students to enhance their confidence and self-esteem.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

  • Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing.



Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs support.

  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.

  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
