An all-through school in the Northampton area is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Position:Ā SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)Ā 

Location:Ā NorthamptonĀ 

Start Date:Ā ASAPĀ 

Working Days:Ā 5 days a weekĀ 

Salary:Ā Competitive day rate, dependent on experience

About the Role:Ā We are looking for a qualified SENCO to lead our SEN provision and ensure that all students receive the support they need to thrive. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with substantial experience as a SEN TA (Teaching Assistant) or HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SEN policies and practices
  • Coordinate and manage SEN support across the school
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision
  • Provide training and support to staff on SEN issues

Requirements:

  • Qualified SENCO or significant experience as a SEN TA/HLTA
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents
