About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Inclusion Support Specialist to join our team. The main focus of this role is to support a bespoke onsite adapted secondary school curriculum, both in and out of the classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting young adults with behavior that may challenge.
- Creating and working within provisions and adaptations for pupils with SEND.
- Providing one-to-one lesson and activity support, fostering engagement and learning.
- Implementing and adapting plans for individual pupils in line with their needs and development goals.
- Contributing to activities that promote physical well-being, particularly through sports and outdoor education.
The initial schedule for this position is 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, supporting a specific pupil. As their timetable grows, your role will expand, with the potential for broader cross-school responsibilities.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting young adults with SEND and managing challenging behavior.
- Adaptable and resourceful in implementing curriculum adjustments.
- Self-motivated and capable of taking direction while understanding the overall goals of a plan or activity.
- Confident in leading and engaging students in sports and outdoor activities.
- Flexible to take on additional responsibilities as needed across the school.
Experience providing one-to-one support is highly advantageous. A proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting young people's growth and development are essential.
