Timeplan education is supporting local Northampton SEND schools with their current teaching requirments. The schools are all based local to Northampton and the schools and units are seeking teaching staff to build a relationship with their school, so that they can rely on local teachers to support them on a regular basis.

The experienced Teacher will require:

  • To deliver engaging lessons to the children, whilst their Teacher is absent
  • SEND background or experience desireable
  • Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating fully
  • Work closely with the classroom TA/support
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist in assessing children's progress and reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike
  • Experience working within education, QTS is desired
  • Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream and SEND environments
  • Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
