Your focus will be assisting their operational carbon footprint working closely with external suppliers.Job Role / Responsibilities• Assisting with the data collection for Net Zero Carbon Reporting requirements• Assisting with client and project let Net Zero Carbon reporting requirements• Liaising with Commercial Team / Design Team / Project Team to obtaininformation and analysing procurement schedules / drawings / commercial documents• Liaising with the supply chain to obtain information• Basic understanding Net Zero Framework and working within the guidelines• Ensuring reviewing and keeping up to date with the latest published data andguidelines from UKGBC / Government / RICS etc• Ensure the use of appropriate evidence for reporting and maintain accurate data.• Assisting with liaising with other departments to collect, input and report Sustainability and Net Zero data.• Assisting with development of Net Zero reporting processes.• Basic understanding of operational carbon data and processes.• Assisting the capturing and collation of operational data.• Assisting to capture best practice and carbon reduction measure case studies to share information and improve performance• Assisting with brand support for Sustainability and Net Zero capability materials,presentations and documents.• Assisting with general Sustainability / NZ / CSR support.• Acting as a Sustainability / CSR champion within the business.• Assisting with generating innovative ideas to help reduce carbon emissions in theindustry.• Assisting to support target to achieve its carbon-zero targets by 2025.• Stay up to date with new technology, innovations, and best practice in the industry toaccelerate the client’s sustainability journey.Skills and Competencies Required• Understanding of the principles of Sustainability and Net Zero• Understanding of Net Zero frameworks• Workload prioritising to meet deadlines• Initiative• Data / statistical analysis / reporting• Attention to detail / accuracy• Copywriting/ proofing / editing• Business priorities / initiatives awareness• Supplier engagement• Projects / site engagement• Sector / project intel / awareness• Sign-off procedures followedExperience / Qualifications • Have a passion for sustainability and a drive to reduce carbon emissions.• Demonstrable knowledge of the construction industry or experience in a similar field is highly desirable.• Work with accuracy and attention to detail.• Ability to manage time and workload effectively.• Analytical and critical thinking skills.• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, includingMicrosoft Excel and Word.• Knowledge of PDF editing software (i.e., Adobe / Bluebeam) and/or computer aidedmodelling software (i.e., CAD / Revit) would be desirable.• Excellent verbal and communication skills.• Desire to learn and continuously develop, with an ability to challenge establishedprocesses and policies, identifying more effective solutions.• Ability to build relationships and work well with a variety of stakeholders.• Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm.Benefits•Car allowance•26 days holiday + Bank Holidays•Expenses•Pension scheme•Critical illness scheme - This cover will commence when you have completed three years’ service•Employee assistance•Death in service scheme•Income protection scheme•Private Health Insurance*•*Dependent on role•Shopping benefits•Wellbeing benefits•Money benefits•24hr Counsellor•Prize benefits•Holiday benefits•Restaurants benefits
