HGV Service Manager / Service Manager
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per year + Company Car + Fuel Card + Great Company Benefits + More!
Hours: Monday -Friday / Day Shift
Our client is a specialist, reliable and reputable Commercial Vehicle Company based around the Northamptonshire area. They are seeking a passionateand dedicated HGV Service Manager to expand theirgrowing team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsiblefor the following:
- Oversee comprehensive maintenance tasks such as servicing, inspections, repairs, MOT preparations, and handling breakdowns.
- Uphold a thorough understanding of Legal Compliance and Roadworthiness standards, demonstrating awareness of the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme.
- Uphold the company's commitment to high levels of health and safety, including compliance with ISO H&S and Environmental standards.
- Implement safe working practices and maintain fleet integrity, ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs) are current for all tasks.
- Oversee workshop operations, including staff management and vehicle oversight.
- Conduct and schedule regular inspections and maintenance activities for all vehicles to meet DVSA standards.
- Track and report DVSA/DVA pass rates, managing the DVSA/DVA booking system effectively.
- Handle all vehicles with care and adhere to health and safety protocols.
- Operate within defined contract/budget constraints, optimizing external labor and parts sales.
- Monitor labor and parts sales closely to achieve monthly targets.
- Coordinate vehicle/trailer breakdowns efficiently.
