Impact Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a an established manufacturing company based in Northampton. They are looking to recruit for a Maintenance Technician to join them on a Permanent basis ASAP!
Role: Maintenance Technician
Location: Northampton
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm
Salary: 30 - 34k
Duties:
- Keep our production equipment in top shape through regular servicing and maintenance.
- Jump into action when breakdowns happen, identify faults and solve problems quickly to minimise downtime.
- Be part of exciting new projects by installing and commissioning production equipment.
- Inspect and assess the functionality of our machines to keep everything running smoothly.
- Get hands-on with mechanical adjustments using a variety of tools.
- Carry out routine maintenance and essential safety checks.
- Work closely with the production team and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work space.
- Help develop and implement proactive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Prepare and submit clear, detailed maintenance reports.
- Collaborate with and support specialist engineers when needed.
The ideal candidate must:
- A solid understanding of engineering principles.
- A self-starter who's organised, motivated, and ready to take initiative.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
- Basic computer literacy and clear report-writing abilities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices, safety always comes first!
