Impact Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a an established manufacturing company based in Northampton. They are looking to recruit for a Maintenance Technician to join them on a Permanent basis ASAP!

Role: Maintenance Technician

Location: Northampton

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm

Salary: 30 - 34k

Duties:

  • Keep our production equipment in top shape through regular servicing and maintenance.
  • Jump into action when breakdowns happen, identify faults and solve problems quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Be part of exciting new projects by installing and commissioning production equipment.
  • Inspect and assess the functionality of our machines to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Get hands-on with mechanical adjustments using a variety of tools.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and essential safety checks.
  • Work closely with the production team and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work space.
  • Help develop and implement proactive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Prepare and submit clear, detailed maintenance reports.
  • Collaborate with and support specialist engineers when needed.

The ideal candidate must:

  • A solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • A self-starter who's organised, motivated, and ready to take initiative.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
  • Basic computer literacy and clear report-writing abilities.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practices, safety always comes first!
