Are you are experienced Maintenance Technician looking for a Monday to Friday DAYS position (NO WEEKENDS) working in the engineering team for a leading manufacturing business based in Northampton. Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance (PM) on Extruder Equipment:
Perform as directed by scheduled PM tasks on extruders and related auxiliary equipment, including granulators and pulverisers, to minimise downtime and ensure peak performance.
PM on Mixing Plant Equipment:
Execute as directed by preventive maintenance on mixing plant machinery, such as high-speed blenders and compounds, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Snag List Creation:
Compile detailed snag lists following PM inspections, highlighting any equipment that requires further maintenance or repair, and ensure issues are reported promptly.
Support Maintenance Manager:
Assist the Maintenance Manager in improving maintenance processes and boosting equipment reliability, contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in plastic extrusion or related fields.
Sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on industrial machinery.
Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment, such as extruders, granulators, and blenders.
Ability to create and report snag lists to ensure timely follow-up on repairs and maintenance.
Demonstrate ability to undertake dynamic risk assessments for tasks and know when to stop.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the maintenance team and other departments.

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 8.00 - 17.00. Flexibility may be required based on maintenance schedules.
