TIG Welder

Temp to Perm (12-week temporary contract with potential for permanent position after successful completion of a 9-week probationary period)

Northampton

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (37.5 hours/week)

Are you an experienced TIG Welder looking for a new opportunity? We have an exciting position available at a well-established site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking and preparing components for hose assemblies.
  • Performing TIG welding on thin materials to meet quality standards.
  • Ensuring the timely handover of assemblies to other departments in the operational process.
  • Collaborating with different department teams on-site to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Reporting any welding failures to the quality department and ensuring quarantining of defective materials.
  • Following fault-finding procedures to identify issues during the welding process.
  • Maintaining in-house systems for recording health and safety and quality control data.

Essential Skills and Experience for the TIG Welder:

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with thin materials.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and techniques (knowledge of welding types such as TIG, MIG, Stick, etc.).
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and ensure high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various departments.
  • A focus on safety and adherence to health and safety procedures.
