Job Summary:

The Dustcart Loader is responsible for assisting in the collection and transportation of waste materials from residential and commercial areas. This role involves loading waste into the dustcart, ensuring safety and efficiency during the collection process.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Waste Collection: Collect domestic and commercial waste from designated areas, ensuring all waste is loaded efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate courteously with the public.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the driver and other team members to ensure timely and effective waste collection.


Applicant characteristics:

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks and walk up to 10 to 5 miles per day in all weathers.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all waste is collected and properly loaded without leaving any behind.


Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Early morning start times and potential overtime during peak periods.

PPE: Safety footwear/steel toe capped boots and hi-vis vest is required for this role.
