Our client is a leading global manufacturer in the building products manufacturing industry. They are currently recruiting for a senior mechanical fitter to oversee all maintenance activities on site.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing a team of 2 mechanical fitters
• Managing contractors
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
• Ensure all maintenance plans and documentation is up to date
• Ensure health & Safety standards are met at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must have at least 3 years experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Supervisory experience is beneficial
• NEBOSH certificate would be beneficial but can be obtained on the job
• Engineering apprenticeship or similar engineering qualification
• Knowledge of maintenance scheduling
• Strong mechanical fault finding & servicing skills
• Good hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Good time management, problem solving skills and attention to detail
