- Encouraging an active partnership between pupils and parents to achieve maximum involvement in education

- Monitoring pupil attendance on SIMS system and reporting persistent and long term absences

- Exploring ways to encourage families to attend parent evenings and celebration assembly’s to support pupils

- Acting as main point of contact for families about a range of support agencies and services available

- Writing case notes on pupils with persistent absence and preparing school reports and recommendations

- Planning programmes to support parents/carers both individually and in groups and meetings
