About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the Ealing/Northolt area. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across various year groups, fostering a love for music and creativity.

As a key member of the Performing Arts department, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that cater to students of different abilities. You should be comfortable teaching a broad music curriculum, incorporating both practical and theoretical elements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5).
  • Engage students with a range of musical genres, instruments, and digital music technology.
  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and extracurricular activities.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including school concerts, clubs, and events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK music curriculum.
  • Ability to teach a variety of musical instruments and integrate music technology into lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for student success.

Working Pattern
