TeamJobs is proud to be recruiting for a National Account Manager on behalf of our client, a leading food and drink importer and distributor. This is an exciting chance to work with some of the most iconic brands in the industry.

The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Account Manager to join our team, with a primary focus on managing and growing our UK Discounter, Wholesaler, and Export business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Management: You will be responsible for managing key accounts and developing trading relationships with other National and Regional Discounters.

  • Wholesaler and Export Development: Manage key UK wholesalers and further develop our Export business.

  • Business Growth: Drive growth in existing accounts while also identifying and securing new listings and distribution opportunities. This role is ideal for a "hunter" mindset, someone who is driven, tenacious, and eager to prove themselves.

  • Commercial Acumen: Use your strong selling and negotiation skills to create compelling proposals, negotiate pricing, and closely manage spend to maximise ROI and profitability.

  • Performance Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reporting of sales performance and communicate all business opportunities and risks to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.

About You:

  • Proven track record in developing and growing business with UK Discounters and wholesalers.
  • Demonstrable success in winning new business, securing new listings, and expanding product distribution.
  • Strong commercial capability, with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and demonstrate high levels of personal ownership and accountability.
  • A self-starter with high drive, tenacity, resilience, and ambition.
