SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a special needs (SEN) teaching assistant. The role will be working in a KS3 (year 7/ year 8) class. The students all have severe learning difficulties (SLD)

  • Trials will be held week beginning 4th November
  • The role will start straight after successful trial
  • The role is full-time

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The school caters to students aged from Reception to Year 14 who have moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical, sensory and/or physical needs.???

  • Have a keen interest in positively impacting the lives of young people with special needs
  • Be willing to work with challenging behaviour?
  • Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges?
  • Have experience in a special needs (SEN) setting

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

  • Provide dedicated support in all classes, helping student's access learning materials and fully engage in activities
  • Encourage social interaction
  • Assist with behaviour management
  • Work closely with the school's inclusion team to implement individualized strategies
  • Provide support to classroom teacher
