Description
Financial Management & Reporting - Oversee daily accounting operations, maintain GL integrity, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate financial reporting, including budget variance analysis.
Month-End & Year-End Close - Support financial close processes, reconcile and consolidate results, and coordinate annual audits.
VAT & Compliance - Manage VAT returns for multiple entities, act as the main UK VAT contact, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
Cost Accounting & Operations - Monitor and analyse costs, manage stock planning and despatch, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Systems & Process Improvement - Improve accounting systems, enforce policies, and implement corrective actions to optimise financial procedures.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management - Assign projects, lead the accounting team, and collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Profile
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise
Job Offer
- A competitive salary within the range of £45,000 to £65,000.
