Management AccountantOverview:

Resourcery Group are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Management Accountant to join a £100m t/o manufacturing client in Cheshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-level financial support, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, rolling forecasts, and cash forecasts. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers an exciting opportunity to interact with various members of the finance function and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and rolling forecasts.
  • Assisting in the production of the monthly board report with the Financial Controller.
  • Conducting cost analysis reviews across all areas of the business.
  • Assisting in product costing processes and updates.
  • Analyzing stock position and product costing variance, leading initiatives to improve stock accuracy.
  • Preparation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts with major cost owners within the business.
  • Assisting with daily cash updates and reconciling company bank accounts.
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns for review.
  • Processing journals, including prepayments and accruals, for review by the Financial Controller.
  • Raising sales invoices for multiple income streams and ensuring reconciliations are up to date.
  • Assisting with the annual audit and resolving any queries.
  • Managing all payments on the bank, including accounts payable and weekly wages, ready for authorization.
  • Developing and reviewing current processes to improve efficiency.
  • Conducting credit checks on potential new customers to mitigate business risks.
  • Involvement in leading adhoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in producing management accounts within a finance function.
  • Qualified/Part Qualified -ACCA/CIMA.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
Day-to-Day:

The role involves preparing financial reports, conducting analysis, collaborating with the finance team, and contributing to the strategic financial planning of the company. The candidate will also be responsible for managing payments, improving processes, and leading adhoc projects.
