Robert Walters are excited to be representing a Global Blue Chip Business Solutions Organisation as they look to appoint an ambitious & driven Management Accountant to join their team.

This role will see you working closely with Senior Finance Stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in providing timely & robust financial reports, monthly management information, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis, whilst ensuring robust financial controls across the group.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving their financial operations. Your responsibilities will span across various aspects of accounting, from producing detailed financial reports to developing relationships with key stakeholders. You will be instrumental in comparing actual performance to budgets and providing insightful variance analysis. Your commitment to meeting deadlines consistently and accurately will contribute significantly to the smooth running of the department. Furthermore, your ability to challenge existing methodologies and recommend improvements will be highly valued. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to support the senior finance management team with ad hoc projects.

  • Conduct financial reporting and business partnering activities for entities within the group.
  • Produce monthly financial reporting pack with commentary, including full P&L and detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Compare actual performance to budgets, providing variance analysis.
  • Consistently and accurately meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Business partner with key business stakeholders and deliver commercial insight into results to enable these stakeholders to better understand and improve business performance.
  • Challenge the existing methodology and controls, map out the current process and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure a quality year-end audit pack is delivered to the auditors at the end of the financial year.
  • Support the senior finance management team with ad hoc projects.

What you bring:

  • Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Educated to degree level, minimum 2:1
  • Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information.
  • Experience of building and maintained strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
