Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable: Manage and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and assist with reconciling supplier statements.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee customer accounts, process sales invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments. Liaise with customers to resolve any queries regarding invoices or payments.
  • Sage50: Utilise Sage50 software for both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all data is entered accurately and efficiently. Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
  • General Accounting Support: Assist with bank reconciliations, posting journal entries, and preparing reports for management.
  • Customer & Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and resolving any account-related issues.
  • Ad hoc duties: Provide support to the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Profile

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Sage50 experience is essential, with a strong understanding of how to use the software for daily accounting tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in a family-run business or smaller company environment is advantageous.
