Description

The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with key customers across retail, foodservice, and B2B channels. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with the company's broader strategic objectives. This role is home based reporting into the key manufacturing hub in the North West.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth across all target channels.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Manage and expand relationships with key accounts, negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profitability.

  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the retail, foodservice, and B2B manufacturing sectors.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain, to ensure a seamless go-to-market approach.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Drive pricing strategies and margin optimisation in collaboration with finance and operations.

  • Ensure best-in-class customer service and satisfaction to enhance long-term partnerships.

Profile

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership/Sales Director role within the food ingredients/FMCG sector.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and profit growth.

  • Deep understanding of the retail, foodservice, and B2B manufacturing landscape.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing sales teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Ideally candidates will be commutable to North West England on a regular basis.
