My client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Birchwood, Warrington, dedicated to producing high-quality products for a diverse range of industries. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a meticulous and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team and support the efficient management of the accounts payable processes.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and process payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, including payment terms and contact details.
  • Assist with month-end procedures and ensure that all transactions are up to date for reporting.
  • Handle payment queries and communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc finance tasks as required by the finance team.

Profile

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Good understanding of accounts payable processes and financial systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
