A highly regarded energy organization in North West England is seeking a Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer Team Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in decommissioning efforts, overseeing all stages of the lifecycle-from planning and design to waste management, dismantling, demolition, and delicensing activities. As a technical leader, you will deliver innovative solutions to challenging engineering problems, while mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of detailed feasibility studies and multi-phase decommissioning plans.
- Prepare critical project documentation, including Method Statements, Design Risk Assessments, and tender documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hazard identification processes, such as HAZOP and HAZID.
- Oversee the execution of decommissioning tasks across all project phases, including feasibility, preliminary design, detail design, and construction/commissioning.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
- Proven experience in decommissioning and dismantling engineering.
- Strong background in engineering, with a track record in related fields.
- Comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle stages and decommissioning processes.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and development.
- Flexibility to work across various locations, including Warrington, Abingdon, or Westlakes.
