Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer Team Lead - North WestAre you an experienced engineering professional ready to lead complex decommissioning projects? A highly regarded energy organization in North West England is seeking a Decommissioning & Dismantling Engineer Team Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in decommissioning efforts, overseeing all stages of the lifecycle-from planning and design to waste management, dismantling, demolition, and delicensing activities. As a technical leader, you will deliver innovative solutions to challenging engineering problems, while mentoring and guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of detailed feasibility studies and multi-phase decommissioning plans.
  • Prepare critical project documentation, including Method Statements, Design Risk Assessments, and tender documents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hazard identification processes, such as HAZOP and HAZID.
  • Oversee the execution of decommissioning tasks across all project phases, including feasibility, preliminary design, detail design, and construction/commissioning.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Proven experience in decommissioning and dismantling engineering.
  • Strong background in engineering, with a track record in related fields.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle stages and decommissioning processes.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and development.
  • Flexibility to work across various locations, including Warrington, Abingdon, or Westlakes.
