Senior Bid Writer

Location - Cheshire

FrankWills Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking firm based in the Cheshire location. This role would be working for a highly successful contracts team that requires an experienced Bid writer to assist the sales division with high quality Bid and Tender Material. You will be responsible for managing a small team leading the tender process for all business divisions, ensuring Tender submissions are complete and on time.

Our client offers a range of products and services throughout the UK and Internationally. You will be responsible for working autonomously, capable in working to extreme deadlines and able to build strong working relationships across all heads of department.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead on the tender process for all business streams and work closely with the senior Sales and Marketing management team to complete tender submissions
  • Ensure a high standard and consistent approach is taken with all tenders to improve tender success
  • Review the Contracts Advance tracker report daily to ensure all potential opportunities are captured
  • Cover bid writing responsibilities, including drafting of responses, meeting stakeholders and updating responses
  • Ensure the systems and processes are in place to ensure pricing accuracy for all customers
  • Effectively support the Sales & Marketing team by assisting the delivery of bid documentation and other material/output within the Contracts Team.
  • Assist with the completion and submission of high-quality and high-impact pretender material, tenders, presentations, evidence and associated documents.
  • Assist with the maintenance of an up-to-date and comprehensive library of bid materials.
  • Working with multiple portals to complete a range of Tender documentation
  • Contribute to the review and design of bid materials to ensure that these are consistent with market expectations of a leading-edge provider.
  • Liaises with other parts of the Business and build key relationships to collate relevant and important information.
  • Working closely with the Business development team and working in collaboration to ensure works are completed with set deadlines

Qualifications/ experience

  • Line management experience essential
  • Senior sales/sales management experience
  • Clear evidence and experience managing complex Bid and Tenders
  • Strong written communication skills and proven experience of writing (Bids and Tenders)
  • Highly meticulous and excellent attention to detail
  • An understanding of the need to write in an engaging manner to suit a variety of audiences.
  • Proficient at creating and managing documents in standard Microsoft Office format (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Self-motivated and driven attitude
  • Strong cross functional team player with excellent networking and relationship building skills.
