Key Qualifications:
  • Completed Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 certification.
  • Familiarity with IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • MEWP/IPAF training is preferred.
Your Responsibilities:
As an Electrician, you will leverage your technical expertise to:
  • Install & Commission:Power and control cabling for electrical drive and process equipment, both for upgrades and new installations.
  • Instrumentation Expertise:Work with instrumentation, including PID controllers, proximity sensors, and temperature transmitters.
  • Safety Systems:Install and maintain safety-critical control systems, including interlocks and emergency stop circuits.
  • Fault Diagnosis:Independently identify and address faults in electrical systems, showcasing your problem-solving skills.
  • System Testing:Use testing devices to ensure the integrity, compatibility, and safety of various electrical systems.
  • Maintenance & Repair:Oversee the maintenance of general facilities, including lighting, emergency systems, and portable electrical equipment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:Uphold the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, ensuring a safe working environment for everyone.
  • PLC Knowledge:Understand and rectify issues with PLC systems associated with production control (e.g., Allen Bradley).
  • Organizational Skills:Maintain a tidy work environment by returning unused materials to stores or disposing of waste properly.
Working Hours:
  • Basic Hours:37.5 hours per week
    • Monday to Thursday: 7:45 am - 4:30 pm (with a half-hour lunch break)
    • Friday: 7:45 am - 12:15 pm
