Waste Management Consultant

We are seeking a Waste Management Consultant to join our expanding and successful team. In this role, you will focus on developing and assessing radioactive waste inventories and characterisation data, playing a key role in shaping effective waste management strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to projects in decommissioning and environmental management, providing valuable support across various initiatives. This position offers exceptional opportunities for personal growth, allowing you to enhance your technical expertise, leadership skills, and business development capabilities while contributing to the broader goals of our company.

Additionally, you will:

  • Contributing to business development by supporting proposals/bids, supporting waste discipline, and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to developing creative ideas, strategies and new service offers which aim to better manage waste to UK and international Clients.
  • Conduct studies, research and analysis relating to waste management and Characterisation.
  • Provide robust and timely technical radioactive waste management expertise to support a range of clients in new build, operations, and decommissioning.
  • Advise on some of the following areas: characterisation (including sentencing), management, production, treatment, storage, packaging, and consignment of radioactive waste.

You will partner with a diverse set of teams within safety case, decommissioning and engineer to ensure requirements are being met with clients. You should have a background in nuclear waste and have experience supporting some or all:

  • Waste Strategies
  • Project Waste Management Plans
  • BAT studies
  • Characterisation strategies
  • Sampling Plans using DQO.
  • Calculations associated with waste activity or dose assessments.

This position will be based in Warrington or Abingdon a minimum of 2 days per week.
