Description
The Commercial Finance Analyst role is initially a 12 month contract and will be Hybrid working- 2 days in Handforth office/3 remote.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and interpreting weekly trading sales, margin and KPI reports and identifying key performance drivers and action plans
- Developing and maintaining commercial models, and providing insights on performance and trends
- Building and maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders, including Buyers and Merchandisers
- Collaborating with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely period-end sales and margin reporting
- Contributing to monthly reporting and analysis, including Commercial Business Review and Board Packs
- Conducting deep-dive analysis on new ranges or initiatives and developing action plans for under performing areas
- Supporting budget, forecast, risk and opportunity preparation
- Assisting with audit queries related to sales, margin and stock
Profile
In order to apply for the role you should:
- Be ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
- Have previous experience in Commercial Analysis/Business partnering
- Strong Excel skills (including Sumifs, pivot tables and graphs)
- Be able to consider a 12 month contract initially
- Be able to commute 2 days per week to Handforth office (near Wilmslow, Cheshire)
