About the Role

As the Finance Digital Transformation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in modernising and optimising financial processes using cutting-edge digital tools. Acting as the key bridge between finance and technology, you will drive improvements in accounting, planning, and reporting processes while enabling teams to adopt modern tools and approaches effectively.

This role provides direct access to senior leadership, including the Group Financial Planning Director, Group CFO, Accounting Directors, and Business Unit Finance Directors. You will collaborate closely with Business Unit FP&A teams, Group Accounting and Finance, and IT's Data as a Service function to lead strategic initiatives, champion automation, and enhance data governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Digital Transformation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to optimise financial processes, automation, and technological enhancements.
  • Technology Implementation: Oversee the selection and integration of new financial technologies and systems.
  • Reporting & Analytics Management: Enhance centralised analytics capabilities, including Power BI dashboards and standardised reporting templates.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance across financial and operational datasets.
  • Championing Analytics: Advocate for automation and analytics adoption to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Training & Enablement: Provide training and support to finance teams on reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Build strong relationships across finance, IT, and business units, using your gravitas and influencing skills to drive meaningful change.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in finance digital transformation, process reengineering, and automation.
  • Expertise in managing financial reporting and analytics functions, with Power BI proficiency.
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing teams responsible for reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and financial data structures.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with experience working in a matrixed organisation.

Desired Skills:

  • Technical competence in financial reporting systems, including Power BI development and dashboard design.
  • Ability to work effectively with IT teams to influence data pipeline design and system integration.
  • Passion for championing automation and advanced analytics to drive FP&A transformation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders.
