I am looking for an experienced Finance Director capable of providing inspirational strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of services across Finance, Treasury, Governance, Risk, IT, HR and Facilities. You will formulate, implement, and drive my client's financial strategy, optimise financial resources, maximise treasury opportunities, oversee regulatory frameworks and embrace digital opportunities.

Please note that it is the financial experience which is the core and mandatory requirement for the role. My client are a private equity backed housing provider so experience in real estate/housing is essential. Key focuses will include:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the CEO and board to develop and implement the company's overall strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding bodies, the private equity house, government agencies, local authorities, developers and other key suppliers
  • Represent the company at external meetings, industry events, and conferences, promoting the organisation's vision and values
  • Deputise for the CEO as and when needed

Financial Management:

  • Overseeing the budgeting, financial planning, stress testing and forecasting processes to ensure long-term financial sustainability
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the purchasing of stock while maintaining financial control and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, such as those required by the Regulator of Social Housing and Homes England
  • Manage cash flow, reserves, and debt financing, ensuring the company can fund its pipeline commitments and ongoing working capital requirements
  • Oversee the Group's treasury and banking activities ensuring funding is available when required and that any surplus cash is invested
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and board of directors on resource allocation and financial performance to support decision-making
  • Maximise income streams and proactively manage procurement activity to ensure maximum return on investment for our shareholders.
  • Provide project performance reports on current schemes to help inform future bids
  • Lead and develop a team of 5
