The Opportunity

The Finance team based at our global headquarters in Northwich are looking for a Finance Manager to join our global team. You will work with finance team at various Dechra locations. This would be an ideal role for someone who enjoys every element of finance from management accounts, balance sheet controls and forecasting.

Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Design own and deliver financial planning and analysis processes including forecast and budget processes for the sites and at the consolidated DMS entity level, whilst aligning to Dechra standards and expectations.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee the month-end closing processes for DMS entities functions, including the reporting processes and outputs into group finance. Work closely with the site finance leads and teams to build trusted and productive relationships.
  • Identify and implement improvements of core financial processes.
  • Produce insightful commentary into current performance and future actions required.
  • Work with key business stakeholders across the DMS business to help them utilize financial performance drivers and improve financial planning, control and governance processes.
  • Design and implement best practice controls and KPI's for manufacturing and financial control. Lead on Risk Management and Financial Control.
  • Liaise and support key Dechra projects and programmes to support the wider business goals.
  • Develop business cases for investments, capital expenditure and other projects. Support overarching governance processes.
  • Perform balance sheet reviews of sites and advise on financial control.
  • Support the wider business agenda within DMS to ensure delivery across the five pillars: people, delivery, safety, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure effective communication of, and alignment to, the Dechra Values.
  • Manage the divisional Management Accountant and developing the person in role.
  • Deputize for the Head of Finance.

  • Significant experience with financial analysis and reporting on KPI's.
  • Experience of working in and with diverse cultures.
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion and HFM would be useful but not needed.
