This is a fantastic opportunity for an immediately available & qualified senior commercial finance professional with experience in business partnering & strategic insight to join a multi-site operation based in Cheshire. Salary/Benefits:

Job Title: Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Job Duties:
  • Support the Finance Director in communicating and delivering financial strategy across multiple stakeholders.
  • Design and implement a scalable finance data architecture enabling real-time decision-making.
  • Develop insightful management and business intelligence reports with operational and profitability metrics.
  • Deliver rolling forecasts and drive the financial planning calendar.
  • Project manage financial processes including budgeting & year end
  • Drive automation in reporting, ensuring consistency and efficiency across finance functions.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team to integrate commercial insight into wider reporting outputs.
  • Support the business through clear tracking of performance, management information, and regular reporting.
  • Provide commercial insight for pricing, contracts, customer profitability, and investment ROI modelling.
  • Ensure alignment of contract terms with billing, revenue recognition and cash collection processes.
  • Minimise disputes and improve cash flow through proactive commercial engagement and risk analysis.
  • Partner closely with the cost and financial reporting teams to ensure accurate and meaningful financial data.
  • Lead commercial decision-making with a data-driven and risk-aware mindset.
  • Promote a collaborative and proactive finance culture aligned with business values.

Ideal Experience:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Immediately available and based in the North West
  • Previous experience at senior management level within a finance environment.
  • Strong commercial finance leadership and people management experience.
  • Proficient in financial modelling, scenario analysis, and long-term forecasting.
  • Experienced in systems such as SAP (desirable), with excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Strong understanding of operational and supply chain processes.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and embedding a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
