Junior CAD Technician

Overview:I am currently working with a reputable structural engineering firm, to find a talented Junior CAD Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with some experience in CAD design to work in a dynamic and growing engineering environment. My client prides itself on providing innovative solutions to structural challenges, and they are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural projects.
- Support senior technicians and engineers in the development of design schemes.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in drafting.
- Maintain and update CAD files as required, ensuring they are correctly organized and stored.
- Review and check designs for compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Help prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation for client and project meetings.
- Take part in site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for design work.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in CAD, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for design.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop skills in the structural design field.
- A basic understanding of structural principles and construction methods is an advantage.
