The position is for a Lead Engineer with an electrical bias, responsible for overseeing engineering support at the Northwich site across a 24/7 operation.
The role involves supervising a team of 4 engineers on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, ensuring effective service delivery in line with the manufacturing strategy.
The salary for this position is £50,673.60, along with additional benefits.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be a fully qualified engineer, preferably with a multiskilled background.
Experience in leading a team and familiarity with FMCG environments is essential, as well as strong communication skills for coaching and supporting team members.

The purpose of the role is to ensure delivery of the Engineering support to the Northwich site across 24/7 enabling the Engineering team to provide the required levels of service in support of the manufacturing strategy and to ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the department is maintained through the engineering shift teams.

This role offers a Salary £50,673.60 plus benefits. Supervise 4 engineers, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 Days/2 Nights)

Duties

Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of a shift engineering team in providing support to the operations team.
Monitor the completion of PMs and other equipment inspections.
Operate as senior engineering point of contact for Shift Managers.
Support Short Interval Control, and daily end of shift review meetings with Shift Managers.
Participate in Improvement Groups e.g. wastage reduction.
Complete a clear and comprehensive handover to incoming shift engineering team.

What you will bring

A fully qualified and experienced Engineer (preferably multiskilled) with at least 5 years experience
Trained to 17th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable).
Familiar with FMCG environment.
Experienced in leading a team
An excellent communicator with the ability to coach and support others
