As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, providing one-to-one support to students and assisting with classroom management. You will be an integral part of the school's educational team, helping to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students across various key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Classroom Instruction: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, tailored to the diverse needs of students.
  • Individual & Group Support: Provide additional support to students who need extra help, ensuring they meet their learning targets and achieve their potential.
  • Differentiated Learning: Adapt lesson materials and resources to suit individual learning needs, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
  • Behavioural Support: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students with emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Monitoring Progress: Help track and assess student progress to ensure learning objectives are met and goals are achieved.
  • Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.

Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A clear DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
