My client is seeking a motivated and eager individual who is looking to develop their payroll skills within a supportive, close-knit team. Working alongside the Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in managing three weekly payrolls and one monthly payroll. This role offers excellent growth potential, with the opportunity to progress to Payroll Officer over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process holiday requests and manage sickness absence records.

  • Prepare monthly reports, including employee movements, new starters, and leavers.

  • Enter new starters and process leavers in the payroll system.

  • Input timesheets for both weekly and monthly payrolls.

  • Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Support the annual salary review process.

  • Process sickness-related and statutory payments.

  • Perform wage reconciliations for weekly and monthly payrolls for the Accounts department.

  • Manage commissions, bonuses, overtime, and expenses for all payroll cycles.

  • Maintain and organise payroll documentation and reports.

  • Keep Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) up to date.

  • Distribute payslips efficiently and accurately.

  • Provide administrative support to the Fleet Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' payroll experience.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and best practices.

  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • Experience using iTrent payroll software.
