Your new companyThis housing association is head-quartered in Greater Manchester and is recruiting a Governance Manager on a fixed term contract / interim basis initially, with excellent knowledge of housing regulations; to lead a small governance team and ensure compliance and best practice in housing.Your new roleYou will work closely with the executive team, including the CEO, and lead on regulatory compliance matters. You will be responsible for managing a small team to deliver on a range of corporate governance requirements including statutory compliance, corporate policies, high quality board support and board appraisals. This role will be offered on a fixed term contract basis, part-time hours only, and you will be expected to uphold and maintain high standards of regulatory compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and advise the business on governance matters. There may be potential for this to become a permanent post.What you'll need to succeedYou will have a proven track record of successfully performing in a company secretarial / corporate governance role within the housing sector with a solid understanding of the housing regulations. You will have strong working knowledge of governance principles with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with board members and key stakeholders.
