Planning ManagerCheshire, hybrid 2 days in officeSalary + Benefits + Bonus

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading residential developer in the UK in their hire of an ambitious and experienced Planning Manager to join their Planning & Projects team. In this role, you'll lead planning applications, promote major sites, and work closely with senior colleagues to develop and implement planning strategies. You'll also mentor junior planners and ensure project deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and sign off reports for planning applications, appeals, and policies.
  • Support senior colleagues and review external consultants' reports.
  • Research and develop strategies for promoting sites and planning applications.
  • Attend meetings with landowners, agents, and local authorities.
  • Manage tasks and mentor junior planners.
  • Lead public engagement and formal consultation events.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Extensive planning experience, either within a consultancy or local planning environment.
  • Experience with Section 106 agreements and planning applications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement planning strategies independently.
