A perfect opportunity to support ICAEW's strategy in the delivery of it's regional engagement programme. You must be based in the North West and flexibility to travel across the region. This will be a great opportunity if you have management experience, knowledge of the accountancy profession, current affairs and business issues across the region.

Role Profile

To enhance the reputation of ICAEW with members and external stakeholders; provide valuable resources and support to members by supporting the implementation of strategic plans at regional and local level. Stay attuned to changes in the business landscape and manage a cohesive and effective regional team to achieve set goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Regional Director: Work closely with the Regional Director to ensure the successful delivery of North West Strategic Plan, understanding and aligning with the organisation's broader strategic goals and helping to implement them within the regional context.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Development: Establishing meaningful partnerships within departments and across various teams within the organisation to ensure that the services provided to local member are effective, complimentary, and aligned with organisational standards.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Supporting the Regional Director by contributing to the cultivation of long lasting relationships with members and stakeholders across the region. This includes networking and collaborating with business leaders, professionals, and other membership organisations and professional bodies in the region to enhance ICAEW's reputation and influence.
  • Activity & Event Delivery: Support the Regional Director in planning and delivering high-value strategic activities & events. Such activities may involve engaging with key policymakers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to address relevant issues and opportunities. Activities must cater to the different subsets of the membership and contribute to the achievement of the organisation's goals.
  • Team Management: Manages the regional team ensuring consistent messaging, engagement, and performance. Ensure accurate & timely reporting.

Candidate Profile

Requirements include:

  • A good understanding of the accountancy profession,
  • Demonstrable line management experience is essential
  • A good understanding and interest in current affairs and North West related business issues.
  • Excellent organisational skills/project management - must be able to multi task.
  • Ability to write activity reports to an excellent standard
  • Must have a current drivers licence and access to a vehicle
  • Live in the North West
