Tradewind are seeking to appoint an exceptionalECT for an attractive opportunity at a reputable primary school based in Cheshire East.On behalf of our client school, Tradewind would like to present you with a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the progress and attainment of pupils in a KS1/KS2 class within a 'Outstanding' school. This position is a supply teacher position meaning you will cover classes when the main class teacher is absent. This role will commence January 2025 flexi-time basis and will run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of an extension depending on your success in the role.

About the SchoolThe school is a high achieving one form entry primary school catering for children between the ages of two and eleven in a diverse community in Bolton. The competitive pay rate for this position is between £120 and £150 per day, depending on experience. You will be required for the rest of the academic year.

KS1/KS2 Teacher - ECTThe successful teacher will be responsible for the progress and attainment of a high achieving KS1 class.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create engaging lessons that align with the KS1 National Curriculum standards and support the creative curriculum delivered by the school
  • Understand age-related expectations for children within KS1 and scaffold and stretch accordingly to maximise educational outcomes for pupils as individuals
  • Keep up-to-date records of data and analyse where and what to reteach to bridge gaps in learning and maintain high levels of attainment
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Work effectively as a team player with the TA, key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources and best practice
