Important Information:

Temporary Role: This position is initially temporary with opportunities to become permanent for the right person.

Immediate Start: We need someone who can start as soon as possible.

What We Offer:

Competitive Salary: £25,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

Work-Life Balance: Office-based role with hours from 8:00 - 4:30 Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility for part-time work (4 days per week) or adjustments to start and end times.

Your Role:

  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Research & Recommendations: Identify new suppliers and make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Quotations & Negotiations: Obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure the best quality and price.
  • Order Management: Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate quantities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet standards.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Participate in stock takes and monitor inventory levels.
  • Support Production: Assist production personnel with the efficient running of the production office.

What We're Looking For:

  • Customer Focused: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Administrative Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Experience previously within a purchasing/procurement environment.
