Retail Operations Assistant The hourly rate for this role is £11.44Joining us as a Retail Operations Assistant is a great opportunity, whether it’s your first job and you’re looking to gain some valuable experience, or you have experience with retail and you’re looking for a new challenge.Whilst this is a temporary contract, there could be the potential for a permanent role later depending on the opportunities in your local area, so it could be the start of a new career with us.About the roleChristmas in Boots is our most exciting time of the year, and it can be very busy, so we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to help you be at your best.You will work in a Boots store and report into the Assistant or Store Manager and your role would be to pick and pack our boots.com customer orders, work in our back shop, run our stock room and support with deliveries and stock management You will also:
  • Process online customer boots.com orders to a high standard using a handheld device.
  • Prepare online customer boots.com orders for customers to collect from store or home delivery.
  • Obtain the relevant information and locate the required stock from the stockroom and salesfloor to pack and dispatch online orders.
  • Support the store’s daily operational activities including stocking shelves and general housekeeping.
  • Work as a team to solve any issues and meet daily targets.
What you’ll need to haveFull training is provided for this role, but these are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:
  • Enjoy following process and working at pace.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Communicate and listen effectively.
  • Comfortable learning about and using new technology, including handheld mobile devices to process online orders.

  • Experience in a retail or warehouse environment

We are now recruiting Operations Assistants for our Northwich, Witton Street store.We are looking for candidates to start with us from September onwards. We have a variety of shifts available, working between the hours of 07:30 and 20:00 which may include weekends.Available shift patterns:10 Full Time 37.5 hours working 5 out of 7 days start time as early as 7.30am, finish time as late as 8pm, weekend work on a rota basis2 part time 22.5 hours worked over 3 days including weekend workPlease note that due to the anticipated volume of applications expected for this vacancy, we will close the advert when we have met our requirements.
