Chemistry Specialist Teacher

An excellent secondary school in East Cheshire is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Specialist Teacher to join their team for the Spring Term of 2025. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to teach Chemistry up to KS5 (A-level) and potentially lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students from KS3 to KS5.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and maintain high expectations for student behaviour and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary school level, with a passion for the subject.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Availability to work full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm, for the duration of the contract.
