Sellick Partnership is supporting an organisation to recruit for a Housing Support Worker on a fixed term basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Provide intensive, wraparound support to individuals who have recently moved into temporary accommodation, addressing their housing needs and complex issues that may act as barriers to a positive lifestyle.
  • Offer practical assistance with tasks like benefit applications, housing sustainment, health, education, employment, and addiction support.
  • Collaborate with other support agencies to ensure a high-quality, robust network for individuals.
  • Work with local residents, communities, and organizations to foster positive relationships and community cohesion.
  • Educate partners on the needs of the people we support and maintain positive partnerships.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans, including detailed risk assessment and management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with organisational protocols and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Essential Criteria of the Housing Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience or knowledge in housing support, community engagement, or a similar background
