Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with significant experience in fostering assessments or similar work.
- A thorough understanding of Connected Carers assessments, fostering and SGOs.
- Ability to provide comprehensive, high-quality written assessments and recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including attending panels where required.
- Previous experience working independently and managing your own caseload.
NonStop's client is seeking experienced and qualified Social Workers to carry out full Connected Carers assessments as part of the fostering and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) process. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled practitioners to complete high-quality assessments that ensure the best possible care options for children in need of support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Social Worker completing Connected Carers assessments, you will:
- Assess the suitability of potential connected carers (family members or friends) for fostering or SGOs.
- Provide thorough, evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making for children's long-term care.
- Attend fostering panels to present your assessments (virtual attendance is available).
- Work on a needs-basis, with assessments allocated by the service as required.
