Cheshire West Council is currently seeking a dedicated CP / Court Social Worker to join their team (Ellesmere Port or Winsford). The team is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. With a focus on Court proceedings, we aim to provide high-quality social work services to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children. Job Responsibilities:* Manage caseload, with no more than 20 cases, to ensure quality service provision. * Undertake comprehensive assessments, create effective intervention plans, and regularly review cases to meet the needs of children and families involved in Court proceedings. * Collaborate with the Team Manager, Senior Practice Lead, and other social workers to ensure cohesive and coordinated support. * Attend Court hearings and provide professional reports and recommendations to inform decision-making processes. * Engage with relevant professionals, including legal representatives, guardians, and healthcare providers, to gather information and advocate for the best interests of children. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. * Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Experience:* Social Work England registered * Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in child protection and Court proceedings. * 2 years post qualifying experience

Benefits:* Competitive hourly rate of £40 per hour, negotiable depending on experience. * Manageable caseload to ensure quality service provision. * Flexibility in terms of office presence (2-3 times a week) with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements. * Duty once a week, providing flexibility and work-life balance. * Collaborative and supportive team environment, working alongside a Team Manager, Senior Practice Lead, and 7 social workers.
