Halton Council's Duty and Assessment Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This is a pivotal role for a motivated professional who is passionate about safeguarding children and supporting families at the earliest stages of intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake initial assessments and Section 47 investigations.
- Respond promptly to referrals, identifying and addressing immediate risks to children.
- Work collaboratively to ensure robust risk assessments and decision-making.
- Prepare clear and concise court reports and other statutory documentation.
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping and comply with relevant legislation and policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in duty and assessment or similar teams.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks.
- Excellent analytic, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
