Residential Management Group (RMG), a large established market leading property management company, is looking for a skilled WEB DEVELOPER with expertise in both front-end and back-end development.

This is a brand-new role within the Customer Experience team, giving you the enviable opportunity to shape it as your own! We offer a hybrid working environment, therefore when not working from home, you will be based out of our Northwich Office a couple of days per week.

As our Full Stack Web Developer, it’s essential you are proficient in Laravel to ensure you are able to fulfil your responsibilities for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that integrate seamlessly with Laravel Frameworks.

You will also leverage your Laravel experience to service existing products with new features and functionalities, along with taking ownership of developing new, exciting builds to enhance our customer and internal user experiences.

What are some of the key responsibilities for this exciting new role?

Front-end Development:

  • Develop user-friendly and responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimise application performance for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement customer and user-centric designs and enhance user experience.
  • Implement accessibility best practices to ensure web applications are compliant with WCAG guidelines.

Back-end Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable back-end systems using Laravel framework.
  • Create RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
  • Implement security measures and data protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Optimise database queries and performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

Testing and Deployment:

  • Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure code quality and functionality.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
  • Manage version control and utilise deployment tools to deploy updates and releases to production environments.

What knowledge, skills and experience will make you stand out from the crowd?

As this role is based within our Customer Experience Team, ideally you'll have relevant experience in a customer service focussed environment. Existing Salesforce experience or a desire to develop Salesforce experience is also highly desirable.

  • Proven Front End and Back End Web Developer experience
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Expertise in back-end development with PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Solid understanding of database design and SQL, with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and teamworking skills.
